Rimmer Insurance sponsors an annual food drive for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina by collecting food from their clients.

The Food Bank has provided food for friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties for 40 years. The Food Bank ranks in the top 15 out of 200 Feeding America programs and first in North Carolina. It works across the food system to provide nutritious food to families, children, seniors, and individuals.

Thanks to partnerships and programs, they are empowered to help fight hunger and help North Carolinians thrive.

Dale’s love for Camp Kanata started at the young age of 5 when he attended the camp for the first time.

Dale and his father, Cole, participated in a program known as Indian Guides, a father/son group that helped to strengthen the relationship between father and son all awhile participating in one-on-one activities.

Dale then continued his journey with Kanata as a camp counselor for 5 years. During his years as a counselor he developed long lasting friendships. Currently, Dale sits on the Board of Directors for Camp Kanata and has chaired the annual fundraising campaign multiple times.

Rise Against Hunger is driven by the vision of a world without hunger.

Their mission is to end hunger in their lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.

On May 31, 2019 the staff from Rimmer Insurance packaged 3,024 meals with the help of the Rise Against Hunger – Raleigh warehouse!
